The Willamette Valley in Oregon, in particular Marion County, is unique in the world for its diversity of cultivated crops. Thanks to the rich topsoil deposited here after glaciers receded – and our stewardship with the land more recently – you have here a cornucopia of healthy crops for any number of tastes and cuisines.

RainSweet’s vegetables are minimally (and gently) processed to retain their fresh color and texture. Everything we do is done here at our Salem facilities...impeccably clean and substantially secure.

If organic is your preference, RainSweet can easily accommodate your order. Likewise, we’re ready to co-pack, poly-bag, box or blend. And we will private label your brand if you wish.

Onions Onions

RainSweet processes four types of onion: Spanish Yellow, Red, Sweet and White.

The most popular is the yellow – full flavored and aromatic, this onion gives soul to soups and salads and punch to salsa and curries.

Choose from IQF diced or strips, in a variety of convenient sizes.

Green Peppers Green Peppers

Unlike its hot relatives, “sweet” green bell peppers have no capsaicin. A favorite in salsa and salads, green peppers are also a popular ingredient in thousands of cooked dishes – from casseroles and soups to omelets.

RainSweet fresh frozen green bell peppers come sliced or diced, in a variety of dimensions.

Pearl Onions Pearl Onions

Pearl onions are delicate, used for pickling as well as in a wide variety of dishes. When cooked, these onions are sweet and flavorful.

The larger boilers are perfect for salads, casseroles, sauces, roasts, stews, and shish kebabs.

RainSweet’s pearls range in size, from 3/8 to 5/8 inch. Small boilers range from 5/8 to 7/8 inch and large boilers 7/8 to 1-1⁄2 inches.

Mushrooms Mushrooms

RainSweet has both Agaricus and Shiitake varieties available. Both have great nutritional value: fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals.

Agaricus mushrooms include the common “button” mushroom and the “field” mushroom more often cultivated in the West.

Shiitake mushrooms are a regular in oriental cuisine – from soups to steamed dishes.

Choose from RainSweet’s menu of mushroom options: whole, sliced or diced...in a variety of sizes.

Bean Sprouts Bean Sprouts

Most often eaten whole, mung bean sprouts are often seen atop salads or in soup. Stir fried dishes and spring rolls also make great use of this nutritious vegetable.

RainSweet fresh freezes our bean sprouts whole.

Jalapeno Peppers Jalapeno Peppers

Originally from the Mexican state of Veracruz (Xalapa or Jalapa), jalapeno peppers are among a group containing heat-producing capsicum.

Most bottled salsas are based on this pepper and the flesh is also common to a variety of appetizers and richly flavored meals.

RainSweet jalapenos are fresh frozen and come diced at 3/8 inch.
